The school reserves the right to expel students whose diligence or progress is considered unsatisfactory, or whose conduct is harmful to other students. These guidelines exist to protect every child and uphold the reputation of our institution.

Rules 1 – 16

General Guidelines

These rules govern the everyday conduct of students and parents β€” covering communication, attendance, property, personal appearance, and shared responsibilities within our school community.

No Entry into Classrooms
Parent Conduct
Parents are requested not to enter classrooms to see their children or teachers during school hours.

Update Contact Information
Communication
Parents must immediately inform the school office of any change in address, telephone numbers, or other relevant information.

Sick Children Stay Home
Health & Safety
Children who are sick should not be sent to school. The school cannot be held responsible for claims arising from illness or accident.

Do Not Criticise Teachers
Parent Conduct
Criticism of the school or teachers in a child's presence must be strictly avoided β€” it causes students to lose respect for their teachers and hinders their progress.

Principal β€” By Appointment Only
Meetings
Parents can meet the Principal only on stipulated days and after taking prior appointment.

Meetings
Parents can meet teachers only on stipulated days and after taking prior appointment. Walk-in meetings are not permitted.

PTM β€” Both Parents Compulsory
Parent–Teacher Meetings
Attendance of both parents at PTMs is compulsory. Prior notice is required for absenteeism. Students must report in full school uniform. Punctuality and respectful conduct must be maintained.

Written Communication Protocol
Administration
All communications must be addressed to the Class Teacher and include the student's name, admission number, class, section, and parent's contact details.

Return the Progress Report Card
Academics
Parents must sign and return the progress report card on the next working day. A lost or mutilated card incurs a replacement fine of Rs. 100 at the Administrative Office.

Label All Belongings
Personal Property
The student's name, admission number, class, section, and house must be clearly marked on all belongings β€” blazers, ties, jerseys, bags, shoes, socks, and more.

Check Almanac & Bags Daily
Parental Involvement
Parents must check the almanac every day, review the child's bag for circulars or notices, and sign the communication sheet in the almanac regularly.

Respect School Property
Conduct
Students must take care of all school property. Any damage caused will be repaired at the student's expense, along with a fine for the offence.

Personal Appearance Rules
Appearance
Students are not allowed to wear earrings (girls may wear small studs on both ears only). Nail polish, mehendi, tattoos, and kajal are strictly prohibited under any circumstances.

No Valuables or Cash
Safety
Students must not carry cash, mobile phones, watches, cameras, jewellery, or any electronic gadgets to school. The school is not responsible for any loss or theft.

Attendance on Key Days
Attendance
It is compulsory for all students to attend on the first day after each vacation and the last day before every vacation. Absence on these days will result in strict action.

Parents Must Respond When Called
Parent Conduct
Students whose parents avoid meeting school authorities when requested may not be permitted to attend classes until the matter is resolved.

Parent Guidelines

Our school functions best when parents and staff work as true partners. These four protocols help us maintain smooth, respectful, and secure school operations for every child.

Contact via Visiting Hours Only

Parents should not contact the Headmaster, Headmistress, Co-ordinator, or teachers over the phone. All meetings must take place in person during designated Visiting Hours.

Escort Card at the Bus Stop

Parents must carry the Escort Card of their ward at all times and personally see off and receive their child at the designated bus stop, every day without fail.

Check the School Calendar First

Before making any enquiries over the phone, parents must first consult the school calendar, date sheets, and circulars. Most answers are already provided in these documents.

Explain Rules to Your Child

Parents and guardians are requested to read all school rules thoroughly and take time to explain them clearly to their wards so expectations are fully understood at home.

Student Rules

These rules govern student behaviour in the areas of academic integrity, personal conduct, uniform requirements, and campus etiquette β€” to be observed at all times.

Academic Integrity β€” Zero Tolerance
Examinations
Strict action will be taken against any student found using unfair means during examinations. Academic honesty is a core expectation of every SKV student, without exception.

No Re-Assessment for Absentees
Assessments
In the event a student misses their assessment due to absence, there shall be no re-assessment. Students are expected to attend all scheduled evaluations on time.

Lunch Packets & Belongings
Logistics
Collection and distribution of lunch packets and personal belongings is not the school's responsibility. In genuine emergencies, the school will provide a small snack to the child.

No Gifts or Return Gifts
Birthdays & Occasions
No student may bring gifts, return gifts, chocolates, or presents to school for any occasion. At most, a student may distribute 2 toffees (e.g., Γ©clairs) per student in their section. No gifts are to be sent to staff.

Uniform on Birthdays Too
School Uniform
Students must wear the full school uniform even on their birthday. No exceptions are made for personal celebration days. Uniform policy applies on all school days.

Escort Card & ID Policy
Identity Documents
Parents must carry their Escort Card while visiting school. A damaged or lost card requires a written application with photo(s). Replacement charges: Rs. 50/- (first) Β· Rs. 100/- (further losses). High school students inform the Principal; others, the Head-Mistress.

Plastic-Free Campus
Environment
Our school is a plastic-free zone. Parents and students must not send or bring any items β€” tiffin, stationery, or craft articles β€” in polythene bags. Eco-friendly alternatives only.

Tuition Fee Delay Policy

Timely payment of tuition fees is essential to the smooth functioning of our school. Please review the late fee structure carefully and ensure fees are paid within the stipulated deadline to avoid penalties.

Late fee charges are progressive β€” the longer the delay, the higher the penalty. Beyond the final grace period, the student will need to go through the Re-Admission process at a charge of β‚Ή5,000. We strongly advise all parents to pay fees before the due date to avoid inconvenience.

Please Note: Students whose fees remain unpaid beyond the final deadline, and who have not been re-admitted, may not be allowed to attend classes until regularised.

Good to Know

Important Reminders

Birthdays β€” Keep It Simple
Students may distribute a maximum of 2 toffees per classmate on their birthday. No cakes, gift boxes, return gifts, or chocolates for teachers or staff are permitted on any occasion.
Plastic-Free Zone
SKV is a 100% plastic-free campus. All tiffin boxes, stationery, and craft items must be carried in eco-friendly bags. Polythene bags are strictly not allowed on school premises.
Photography & Social Media
Written permission is required to photograph school activities. Uploading such photographs on social media without prior approval will result in strict disciplinary action against the student.
Always Carry Your ID
Students must carry their school almanac and identity card every day. Parents must carry the Escort Card at all times. A lost card must be immediately reported with a replacement fee.
Personal Appearance
No earrings (girls may wear small studs only). Nail polish, mehendi, tattoos, and kajal are strictly prohibited. Students must always maintain a neat, uniform appearance.
